Video doorbell? No problem.

I do wonder if the people who run Ring (Jamie Siminoff, and now, Amazon…), had a bit of a giggle when they named this product. The Ring Doorbell.

Anyway, my client wanted a Ring Doorbell as his old doorbell on his industrial unit, a battery powered radio thing, was unreliable. The Ring doorbell needs a special transformer, supplied by Ring, and so an enclosure was procured to fit the transformer in (not supplied by Ring…).

Tapping the power from the overhead heater was easy enough. Drilling through the wall and mounting the bell push on the outside without hitting any other cables (there were plenty in the wall) and making a neat job? Well, that’s what we do.
